It draws on younger vines within the walled L'Enclos vineyard beside the Gironde together with the estate's plots lying further inland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCabernet Sauvignon leads the blend with a substantial share of Merlot, and the wine is matured in French oak, typically around half of it new. Like the grand vin, it is cellared at the château and released only when the estate judges it ready, usually six to eight years after the harvest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt carries the Latour signature in a more accessible form: blackcurrant and dark cherry, cedar, tobacco and graphite, with firm but polished tannins and a long, savoury finish.
