With more clay and less ironstone than the nearby Farrago block, Faultline consistently produces the richer and more generous of Kooyong's two single block Chardonnays.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit was whole-bunch pressed into French oak barriques and fermented spontaneously with ambient yeasts, then aged on lees for 11 months with no bâtonnage. This minimal approach preserves the site's natural texture and concentration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhite nectarine, white flowers, lime juice and crystallised ginger feature on the nose, along with peach, beeswax and cashew and a hint of nougat. The palate is ripe and textural, with a creamy richness balanced by fine acidity and excellent focus.
