Bounded by a geological fault, the block sits on deeper clay than Kooyong's ironstone sites, which gives Faultline its characteristic richness and depth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit was whole-bunch pressed into French oak, 20% of it new, and fermented with wild yeasts before spending 11 months on lees. The oak is carefully matched to the fruit, allowing the site and the cool 2020 season to shape the wine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCashew, stone fruit, peach and mandarin lead the aromatics, with a subtle hint of honey. The palate is supple and precisely balanced, with ripe fruit held in check by a fine thread of acidity and a long, persistent finish.
