The oldest vines, known as the 'Grandfathers', date to the 1860s and are among the oldest Shiraz vines in the world. The wine is dense, perfumed and layered, with blueberry, bramble, violet, sandalwood, leather and spice on a plush palate carried by silky, long-lasting tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFruit is hand-picked from low-yielding vines and fermented in traditional open-top fermenters before being matured in a mix of French and American oak hogsheads.
