Founded in 1141 by Cistercian nuns of the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Tart, the vineyard has had only four owners in its 900-year history. Since 2018, it has been part of the Pinault family's Artémis Domaines, which also owns Château Latour and Domaine d'Eugénie.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA Premier Cru Morey-Saint-Denis sourced from the younger vines and certain press wine within the Clos de Tart Grand Cru itself, declassified to allow the Grand Cru to express only the very best material. 100% Pinot Noir grown on clay-marl soils rich in marine fossils, with east to south-east exposure. Expect fresh red fruit, spice and floral notes on the nose, leading into a deep, balanced palate with soft tannins, fine acidity and a long, precise finish carrying real Morey-Saint-Denis character.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHand-harvested and parcel-vinified in wooden vats following the modernisation of the cellars, with a measured proportion of whole clusters.
