The nose is floral and high toned, all rose petal, violet, red cherry and wild strawberry, with a fine chalky mineral note behind. On the palate it is light footed and silky, tannins almost powdery, acidity bright and clean, the finish long and quietly persistent.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Clerget family have farmed in Volnay since 1268, and Thibaud Clerget, the twenty eighth generation, has run the domaine since the 2015 vintage after training with Henri Boillot, Domaine Drouhin in Oregon and Hudelot-Noellat.
