The nose is dark and brooding, black cherry, plum, liquorice, iron filings and dried spice, opening slowly into something more floral with air. The palate is broad shouldered and firmly tannic, deeply savoury, with the length and structure to reward a decade or more in the cellar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDomaine Yvon Clerget has farmed in Volnay and Pommard since 1268. Thibaud Clerget, the twenty eighth generation, has been in charge since the 2015 vintage after training with Henri Boillot, Domaine Drouhin in Oregon and Charles Van Canneyt at Hudelot-Noellat.
