It is a selection from the domaine's oldest Pinot Noir vines, now around 80 years of age, which is not hard to find here since much of the estate is planted to old vines.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 2023 is forward and generous in feel, yet lively and vivid, with ripe red and dark cherry fruit, silky density and a beautifully balanced line. It is a vintage marked by freshness and energy, and careful sorting at harvest ensured only sound, ripe fruit went into the vats.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe domaine traces back to a few vine blocks held by Marc Roy's grandfather and is now run by his daughter Alexandrine, the fourth generation, who has made the wines since 2003. Spread across about four hectares of Gevrey and a little Marsannay, the vineyards are worked by hand with low yields.
