Les Montroziers is the domaine's village bottling from its home appellation, named in honour of Maurice Colrat de Montrozier, a French statesman and great uncle of Guy and Yvonne Faiveley.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cuvée draws on four hectares of parcels spread from the north to the south of Nuits-Saint-Georges and from the foot of the slope to the top. The very pebbly Argillats brings delicate aromatics, while the flatter Lavières, on marl, silt and hard limestone, supplies concentration and depth. It spends fourteen months in French oak with a fifth of the barrels new, chosen for fine grain and moderate toast so the wood stays in the background.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExpect sweet raspberry, plum and peony on the nose, then a round, full attack, velvety tannins and a lively core of fruit carried by fresh acidity.
