The new cellar allows each of the clos's 11 parcels to be vinified separately in purpose-sized vats before they are reunited for bottling, and the wine moves from grape to bottle without pumping.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClos des Lambrays itself is a Morey-Saint-Denis Grand Cru with roots in the fourteenth century, promoted from Premier Cru to Grand Cru in 1981. The domaine owns 8.66 hectares of the clos, practically the whole vineyard, on an east-facing slope of clay and limestone where much of the Pinot Noir dates back to the early twentieth century. The estate has been owned by LVMH since 2014 and run by Jacques Devauges since 2019.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAround 80 percent of the 2022 was fermented with whole bunches, rising to 100 percent for the very oldest vines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExpect perfumed red and black fruit with floral, spice and forest floor notes, a medium-bodied palate of fine, chalky tannins and a saline, limestone-inflected finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eVintages may vary.
