It is overwhelmingly a white wine estate, and this old vine village Meursault is the wine most people come to it for.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit comes from three Meursault lieux-dits planted between forty and eighty years ago. François Buisson has little time for the heavy, buttery Meursault of the old school, but equally distrusts wines stripped back in the name of freshness. His method is consistent: twelve months in oak barrel with only around a fifth new, then at least six months in tank resting on fine lees, with no bâtonnage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe result is pure and finely chiselled but never austere. White peach, citrus and ripe pear are carried on a creamy, lees derived texture, with hazelnut, white flowers and a distinct chalky minerality underneath and a long, zesty finish.
