From his cellar in Chassagne-Montrachet he farms a range of village and premier cru sites, making whites with purity and a clear sense of place.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru comes from La Maltroie, a climat set just beneath the village, where Bruno's Chardonnay grows in the Ez Crets section on clay-limestone soils and includes vines planted in the 1950s and 1960s. The fruit is harvested by hand with careful selection, and the wine is matured for about twelve months in 350-litre barrels, only a small portion of them new, before resting in tank prior to bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e2020 was another warm and very early vintage, yet the best Côte de Beaune whites kept impressive freshness and concentration thanks to small berries and cool nights.
