Its wines are firmer and more citrus-led than Meursault, with the limestone never far below the surface, and they carry a little more flesh than neighbouring Puligny.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe nose offers grapefruit, lemon pith and white blossom over a subtle nutty note and a whiff of struck flint. The palate is precise and nicely weighted, with crisp orchard fruit, a chalky grip and bright acidity carrying a clean, mineral finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Bachelet name has been in Chassagne for generations; the brothers' grandfather founded Domaine Bernard Bachelet et Fils there, and their father Jean-François made wine at that estate for most of his career.
