Their vineyard sits in Tasmania's Coal River Valley, planted in 1990 on black, cracking clay over limestone that is full of ancient shells. Low rainfall and a long, cool season give the fruit concentration while keeping acidity bright.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2025 was a cool vintage that allowed flavours to build slowly and evenly. The Chardonnay was hand-picked and sorted, then whole bunches were pressed straight to large, seasoned French oak barrels for a wild ferment. Around half the barrels went through spontaneous malolactic fermentation, adding a touch of softness to the wine's taut frame.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the glass it is citrus-driven and medium-bodied, with real mineral clarity and fruit purity.
