Sitting high on the ridge near Kyneton, it is one of the coldest grape-growing sites in Australia, and the five-hectare vineyard has been certified organic and biodynamic for well over a decade. Everything is estate grown, made and bottled, with a minimal approach in the winery.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe High Density Pinot Noir comes from a block planted in 2011 at close to 7,000 vines per hectare, using a mix of Pinot Noir clones. Close planting makes the vines compete, which tends to produce smaller crops of more concentrated fruit. Expect a tightly focused, structured wine with dark cherry, sweet spice and earthy notes, a touch of alpine herb, fine tannins and a savoury, mineral line of acidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is a Pinot that rewards a little time in the glass or cellar.
