Cardiologist Dr David Kilpatrick planted the first vines on its north-east facing slopes in 1998, and the vineyard now spans six blocks of varied clones on dolerite and basalt soils with low annual rainfall. The wines are made by Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Estate Pinot Noir is grown entirely on the property, which is farmed without synthetic sprays. The 2024 was wild fermented with a small portion of whole bunches for perfume and structure, then aged in a mix of new and older French oak barriques and puncheons.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt shows red and dark berry fruit with floral lift, gentle spice and a flicker of earth. Fine, chalky tannins and bright acidity frame a balanced, medium-bodied palate with a light winemaking touch.
