In 2022 the wine was declassified to Vino Rosso because a portion remained in tank rather than completing the full cask ageing required for Barolo or Langhe Nebbiolo, with the balance sitting in barrel for around eighteen to twenty months before bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2022 was a hot, dry year in Piedmont, where the vines worked under real stress and the resulting wines tend toward the fragile, perfumed end of the spectrum rather than blockbuster concentration.
