Brezza's south-east facing parcel lies at around 250 metres where the Sant'Agata Fossili marls meet the sandier Diano sandstone, giving silty, sandy soils that produce perfumed, finely boned Nebbiolo. Hand-sorted grapes are fermented at controlled temperatures, then the wine rests for at least two years in large oak casks and a further year in bottle before release, with each bottle individually numbered.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAromas of rose, red berries, anise and leather are joined by forest floor and a hint of mint. On the palate, red cherry, pomegranate, liquorice and tobacco flow over fine-grained tannins and bright acidity, finishing long and saline.
