The Applecross Pinot Noir is drawn from the Lance Vineyard at St Andrews and blends 777 clone fruit with old Mount Mary massale selections.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe wine is fragrant and lifted, with raspberry, dried flowers and a light touch of spice. The palate is bright and energetic, with glossy red fruit, fine, lacy tannins and a clean finish carrying a subtle, Campari-like bitter edge. The warmer season brought a little more depth while keeping the label's light touch.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 777 clone was fermented separately without whole bunches, while the massale selections were fermented together with a portion of whole bunches.
