The domaine has become synonymous with the village, farming organically and producing wines with a strong sense of place.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAux Grands Liards is a 1.60-hectare parcel just below the premier cru Les Lavières, with soils of limestone and red, pebbly clay. The vines were planted progressively between 1939, 1950 and 1979 — the oldest vines have begun to be replanted — making it one of the first parcels the family owned and a favourite of the late Patrick Bize. It produces a masculine, structured expression of Pinot Noir with beautiful tannic backbone, balance and real ageing potential.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 2022 was fermented with 100% whole cluster, a 4-5 day cold maceration and spontaneous native-yeast fermentation with pump-overs and gentle punch-downs. Minimal to no new oak is used in ageing to preserve Pinot's delicate aromatics, with the wine racked once at the end of barrel élevage and assembled in stainless steel before bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eVintages may vary.
